Weekly forecast: 2/3-9/19

Lots of folks enjoy pondering what they would do “someday, if they ever won the lottery”… Visions of big houses, shiny cars and traveling all over the globe are common dreams that accompany this particular daydream. Unfortunately, the odds are stacked against every single person who bought a ticket, promptly popping the bubbles of grandeur and bringing the harsh light of reality starkly into focus again. This week, Mercury links with Jupiter in a harmonious angle just before Venus moves out of Sagittarius into Capricorn. This combination of aspects hints at wishes and dreams that are attainable, but quick work alone isn’t enough – consistent action is what will be needed to bring about fruition of the lofty goals billowing through our brains right now. In the words of Vince Lombardi, “Practice doesn’t make perfect – perfect practice makes perfect.” Venus’s change of venue is quickly followed by the new moon in Aquarius, which also attempts to shift our attention towards new horizons and grander goals, but again, gaining traction may not come about as quickly as we might like. This brings another phrase to mind: “The hurry-er I go, the behind-er I get”. This week is a much better time to adjust focus on goals attained by hard work and perseverance to bring about a needed change, instead of making idle wishes and depending on good luck. Take your time. Practical planning must occur before jumping into action. Remember, nothing good comes easy, and all good things are worth working for… it just isn’t going to happen overnight. If something truly means enough to you: Don’t give up. Prepare first and take the time needed to ensure progress. In the long run, it will take less time to do something right the first time rather than having to make time to do it over. Keep in mind – with Astrology, it’s not just about the Sun! "If the moon affects the tides of the oceans, and the human body consists of 70% water, wouldn't we be arrogant to think it would have no effect on us?" -- Teresa Watkins
